History and Culture

The Wine Route of Rueda, limited to the Designation of Origin Rueda, is located in the heart of Castilla, extending across the left bank of the Douro River.

It includes part of the provinces of Valladolid and Avila, bordering Segovia, and is currently composed of 13 municipalities that offer a clear sign of the tourist and historical richness of this wine region par excellence. Weather conditions and orographic characteristics of the soils make this area ideal for growing grapes, especially the native grape Verdejo, and gives its wines a unique personality with inimitable characteristics.

Their wine dates back to the eleventh century, and since then until today, caring for vines and winemaking have endowed this land of culture and tradition that is reflected in all aspects of his personality, from the people their artistic expressions, not forgetting, of course, gastronomy, which takes a leading role.
