ADVANTAGES OF BIODYNAMIC WINES
Some of the practitioners of this form of winemaking highlights important and noticeable improvements in the vineyards, mainly related to biodiversity, soil fertility, crop nutrition and handling problems associated with pests, diseases or weeds.
Moreover, benefits in the wine itself, as getting stronger, clear and vibrant flavors, wine remain healthy longer and wine with a better balance between taste and alcohol content are also mentioned, even produced under conditions of climate change.
For a vineyard is considered biodynamic must follow certain steps and use nine specific preparations, instructions already in agricultural courses postulated by Rudolf Steiner in 1924. The nine preparations consist of various medicinal plants, cow manure and quartz some applied in aerosol form and other compounds in the form of solid in soil.
This method of wine production has also had some criticism, mainly by questioning its supposed benefits or at least relativizándolos, considering them as part of greater care and attention to production and not the spiritual aspects or energy that awarded its producers.
