Common defects. Smell of cork

What are the normal or typical defects in a wine? The first is the smell of cork. When a wine smells like cork, or that reminds the smell like wet cardboard. This defect is not because it has fallen into the wine cork! But due to a mold that is taking over the cork and that affects all the wine. If you are served a wine cork with this fault and you believe that wine is bad, we recommend you wait a bit. Move the cup of wine and wine default will become more apparent, and will be even more so after a few minutes. If in doubt wait a bit before commenting to the waiter. The default cork is one of the easiest to learn and detect. After taking a course in wine tasting not much time is usually able to identify this peculiar smell.
